The will was made on the 1st of May, 1855; registered on the 19th July, 1866 and proved on the 27th July, 1866.

"We James Easton Cabinet maker residing in Greenside Street Edinburgh and Jane Wilson or Easton spouses ..."

The Will mentions all the children: James, Margaret, Ann John, Agnes, Charles, Janet or Jessie, and Alexander.

"And in respect that there has already been advanced out of the goods in communion between us the said spouses to our daughter Jane Easton or Wood Spouse of James Wood residing in Clyde Street Edinburgh a sum ..."

none of the estate goes to Jane and the rest of the estate is shared equally between the other children.
