It looks like young John Drewry, aged 15, was sent off to Kingston upon Hull (45miles from Lincoln) to be an apprentice as a shipwright with Ben Blaides. (An apprenticeship would last for 7 years.)

John Drewry's father (deceased) is noted as 'Carr' which must be short for Carrier.

The apprenticeship is curious, in that I had thought this John Drewry became a well known printer in Lincoln. It is probable that the John Drewry, printer in Lincoln, is John's nephew (son of Joshua) who later moved to Derby.

William, John's brother, is also apprenticed as a shipwright 3 years later to a William Blaides who must be some relation to Ben.
