Born in Crosby.

Married Catherine (Kitty) Vose.

Death of Kitty Vose.

Ronnie served in the RAF, in 31 squadron, during World War II. He was based in Burma and Java, and was awarded  the 'Burma Star'. His son believes he was involved in supplying the troops, flying between India, Java and Burma.

In the picture above, wearing a bush hat, Ronnie is with his friend 'Spike' who looks to be a Macaque. The photo could have been taken in India, Burma or Java, in 1945 or 1946.

Ronnie's demob Ronnie's RAF release book shows that he served from August, 1942 to August, 1946.
He was in Canada.from February, 1944 to December, 1944.

His Squadron Leader wrote 'A good keen NCO who shows initiative. He should do well with a certain amount of responsibility'. (This appears to be written as a reference for a future employer. As a sergeant and Warrant Officer he was already a man with considerable responsibilities.)

Ronnie completed his service as Warrant Officer.
