Bob Campbell was the son of Joseph A. Campbell and his wife Daisy E. née Lewis (married in Fulham, London, 1914). [Source]

Bob studied art at Ipswich and Edinburgh Schools of Art where he met his wife Yvonne Drewry . They married in 1941 and in 1942 moved into Black Mill House in Trimley St Martin, Felixstowe.

Bob was " A member of Ipswich Art Club 1938-1968 and exhibited [in] Ipswich in 1938, an oil 'Barns at Whitton' and two watercolours 'Playford Valley' and 'Self Portrait'.

" In 1944 he exhibited from Black Mill House (his home) near Ipswich, four oils 'David', 'Lupins', 'Elaine' and 'During an Air Raid'

" in 1945 an oil 'Corinne Mary', a watercolour 'David', a sculpture 'Madonna and Child', and two gouache 'Winter' and 'Mother and Child'.

Bob " regularly exhibited including

" in 1963 an oil 'Kirton' and a watercolour 'Still Life',

Bob " in 1964 an oil 'Farm at Trimley',

" in 1965 two oils: 'Copse, Innocent Lane, Kirton' and 'Orchard near Ipswich',

" in 1966 'Fuchia', 'Betty Doxy' and 'Spring Willows',

" his last exhibits were in 1967 which included 'Market Place'.

Bob was " Senior art teacher at Northgate grammar school, Ipswich 1946-1968 and was President of the Felixstowe Art Group from 1956 and held the position until he moved to Canada in July 1968. He returned to England in 2001 and died at Dover, Kent on 22 December 2008."
